The Jomar family....

Dean Comer

Having gained invaluable experience in people and project management through 15 years in the
pharmaceutical industry, Dean took control of the family business in 2011. Growing up, Dean always
showed interest in work around the house - be it simply in the garden or on a grander scale lending
his hand to renovation projects either at home or for friends.
After nine years living and working in Sydney, Dean, his wife Kirsten and their three children now call Melbourne home. He is working with John (his father and company founder) to expand Jomar Maintenance into a boutique maintenance business, able to cope with the many and varied demands of its clients - loss assessing firms, insurance companies and the insured party.
Dean has completed his Bachelor of Science (Physiology major) and also achieved his Masters in General Management whilst studying for his MBA at MGSM in Sydney. More recently, he has completed his Certificate IV in Building & Construction (Building), as well as qualifications in Lean Six Sigma and Prince 2 Project Management.

John Comer

After 30 years working in a suit and tie at the Melbourne Metropolitan Board of Works (MMBW),
John and his wife Margaret decided it was time for him to follow his real passion.
A keen gardener and enthusiastic house renovator, John established Jomar Maintenance Services
in 1986 and immediately threw himself into garden maintenance and building work throughout the
Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
John’s passion for his new found profession and honest approach saw him tackle a multitude of differing tasks whilst building up an impressive client base.... with satisfied clients happy to offer referrals.
Over the years John has gravitated more and more towards his key strengths, that being his know how of building and his ability to manage the people involved.
